This website holds the story of a recovery from psychosis. It is very abridged. In truth the narrative is primarily a framework that's used to present knowledge and wisdom, gained from my own lived experience of serious mental illness.
In total there are 7000+ words on this website. The idea is to read each page in order. However, you could gain from just "dipping in?" Covering everything through several visits should be no problem as each page is a reasonably logical unit.
Repeated reflection and cross referencing over many years (20+), helped me lead to a stability of thought, or as I've said before now, a useable mental model. I am practically an illiterate reader of books. I can read music more fluently than words. If any ideas here seem familiar, it's not copying, it just means I independently arrived at something similar or the same. And that's marvellous, not in a clever way, but because further credence has been placed on an idea. That leads to faith.
Other than this dummy one, please click on red underlined links, they point to safe and useful websites. The stand-out red text idea is borrowed from the way Jesus' sayings are rendered in certain Bibles. NOTE: I am not religious. I think Jesus Christ was a great avatar with vital thoughts. Forgive me for my occasional New Testament mentions, I view them figuratively.
Dozens of my personal hours went into this website. Getting it hosted costs me a smallish monthly fee. I hope you accept this is a gift and not an attempt by myself to find validation. That would imply the blind were leading the blind. Whether it will lead me anywhere is down to chance. I think some people are lucky and other people are not lucky, like a game of cards. I don't believe in "hocus pocus" ideas like Karma. Such an idealistic bringer of moral justice, is in my opinion, for those denying the predominantly cruel, unfair, evil and often violent nature of the world. My late father once told me that "some say Hell is on Earth." I see the age-old battle between good and evil strongly confirming that statement.
Despite everything that might happen to you, you are here for a reason. You just need to find out what it is. To labour a popular metaphor, we're dealt a hand and we play, because that's us.
Like the Tarot Fool below, who was all about journeying, this site is too.
